Two-Day Workshop on Social Research
We have just completed a two-day educational workshop focused on social research. The aim of the sessions was not only to introduce young participants to the basic concepts and goals of social research, but above all to show them how to plan and carry out suchresearch in practice.

🔍 What did the participants learn?
During the workshops, participants:
• learned about the main types of social research (quantitative and qualitative),
• explored research methods such as surveys, interviews, observation, and documentanalysis,
• discussed the stages of preparing a social research project – from defining the research problem, through designing tools, to analyzing data,
• practiced creating their own research tools, such as survey questionnaires and interview guides,
• analyzed sample data and discussed its significance and how research findings caninfluence social and educational actions.

👥 Teamwork and Practical Application
The workshops had a hands-on, project-based approach – participants worked in teams to develop their own mini research projects, which they later presented and discussed with the group. The teams chose specific social issues (e.g. food waste, youth environmentalawareness, attitudes toward recycling) and designed research projects aimed at gathering real and relevant information about their communities.
Thanks to the workshops, the young people not only gained practical research skills, but also understood the role of social research in diagnosing local issues and developing effective solutions.
