
Maria Nefeli Pinaka
Maria Nefeli Pinaka is a dedicated psychologist and project manager, leading her own informal group of young people and spearheading the “GreenComp for a Sustainable Future” solidarity project. Besides her profound concern for environmental issues, Nefeli has been also passionately involved in photography since 2020. Her work has been featured in three exhibitions: IEK ESP’s “Summer Postcards” in 2022, Flash AUTH’s “What Keeps Us Up at Night” in 2023, and “Temptations” in 2024.
In her diverse photography career, Nefeli has worked on weddings, baptisms, fashion photography, food photography, and has a deep love for film and street photography. Since 2022, she has been an active member of the Flash Photography team at Aristotle University, where she organizes and conducts photography classes to students. Additionally, she participated in the Connect Family Day Centre’s photography group in 2022, merging her expertise in mental health with her passion for photography to foster personal expression and integration for individuals with mental health disorders.
Nefeli’s unique blend of skills and experiences makes her an ideal expert photographer on food waste. Her ability to capture powerful images and her commitment to sustainability will play a crucial role in promoting awareness and action against food waste.
