Federico Caponi

Born in Tuscany in 1968; he graduated in philosophy from the University of Florence. He is a photographer and lecturer in analog techniques. He runs the darkroom of the Eastern Studio in Warsaw’s Praga district. Since 2018, he has been a lecturer in darkroom techniques and documentary photography at the Academy of Photography in Warsaw.

In June 2017, his series “March on Warsaw,” portraying far-right members of the ONR, was shown at a group exhibition at the Rotational House of Culture in Jazdów, Warsaw, and later published in Krytyka Polityczna’s online gallery. In November 2017, his photo “Tiger Car” was exhibited during the RoadTrip
exhibition at the Warsaw Photography Days. Since 2015, he has been conducting workshops on analog photography, darkroom techniques, and visual storytelling “Photobooklet, un’esperienza narrativa” at VisiVa in Florence.
